The traditional meeting of representatives of the governments of the member states of the Council of Europe before the European Court of Human Rights

The representative of the Republic of Serbia before the European Court of Human Rights, Zorana Jadrijević Mladar, she participated into the meeting of the representatives of the governments of the member states of the Council of Europe before the European Court of Human Rights (hereinafter: the Court) which was held on October 6, 2023 in Riga, Republic of Latvia.

The meeting was held within the Latvian presidency of the Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe, organized by the Office of the Representative of the Republic of Latvia before international human rights institutions. The meeting was attended by more than 35 participants from 32 member states.

It is about traditionalaboutm annuallyem a meeting where government representatives discuss the development of the practice of the Court, the challenges they face when representing their governments before the Court and other relevant issues.

On the agenda of this year's meeting, which was held after a break due to restrictions that existed due to the vidrus pandemicCovid-19, experiences were exchanged regarding, among other things, representation and conclusion of friendly settlements before the Court. Also, there was talk about Protocol No. 16 to the Convention.
